Well the Master was hoping if perhaps he can make the kid have a few late nights, he might be more awake one of the nights to go see what he was doing at work.

The kid might like stars. He set the boy on the chair and offered him a smile before shrugging off his coat and dropping it on him. It'd work as a blanket for now. "I'll come wake you up in two hours."

Koschei hummed softly at that one and nodded. "'Kay." he murmured softly, adjusting the coat about him.

He was just tired. But a few late nights would be worth it to get to see through that telescope again.

The Master left the boy be and went to confirm the dates of their next project and make sure that they're all doing fine. Once all was set, he checked over a few bits and pieces.

He got back 2 and a half hour later with a few bits of paperwork to confirm. "Ready?"

Koschei stirred softly and frowned a bit. Was it time to go already? Well. May as well get up and whatnot.

He didn't see much reason to complain. He'd gotten to sleep in a bit more and that was all he could ask for.

The Master took his coat back and shrugged it on, stuffing the papers into his case and offering the boy his hand to make sure the still half asleep boy didn't get lost.

"Come on, let's head home and have some dinner," it was nearly noon, surely the kid would get hungry soon."

Koschei took the other's hand with a small nod. He could agree to some food right about now. He wasn't even picky about what it was.

"An' 'm going to finish that puzzle." Koschei asserted. He just couldn't get over it. Puzzles never challenged him!

"Deal, you can work on the puzzle while I phone around to see if we can't get more funding," the Master remarked with a small sigh to his tone because while they had plenty, his men wanted some extra stuff.

He got into the car and made sure Koschei was buckled in before taking off. "Do you want to stop off for something?"

That was interesting. "Eho are you going to call?" Koschei asked lightly. What? He was curious.

And really? Koschei showing an interest in his father's work was meant to be a positive thing.

"Just some rich people when sometimes take an interesting in scientific research," Sadly they relied on rich people sponsoring them, as annoying as it was to suck up to them, there was rarely another option.

"If I can get some extra money, we might be able to upgrade some of our equipment," but nothing overly brilliant.

Uh huh. "Ask your boyfriend." Koschei muttered. Not for the money, mind. The man probably knew the right people to ask though.

"'M just trying to help." he added firmly. No need to risk another snapping fit from either of them.

"Koschei, that won't work, I already know our benefactors, bringing in a new one would be hard and the Doctor can't help," the Doctor can't do anything really.

Frankly the Doctor has very little to do with his department and they had funding, he just had to call the right people. "I know who I'm calling, Koschei, problems fine."

"Fine." Koschei muttered. It had been nothing more than a simple suggestion. If the Master didn't need it, then so be it.

Koschei had no need to push. The Master had it handled. And really? He understood that.

The Master pulled up outside a nearby cafe and eyed up the sign. hey may as well handle dinner now. "Want to go inside and get something to eat or get something to go?"

They did coffee and pancakes, the Master was curious if he could get the pancakes to go.

"To go. I like to eat at home." Koschei admitted softly with a small shrug. And really? That wasn't a surprise considering his parent.

"Can I have chicken?" Koschei asked lightly. Why not? It was good and quick.

"Sure, come on in and well see what we can't get to go," the Master got out the car and waited for Koschei to catch up before they headed inside the cafe.

There was a chicken sandwich and a chicken wrap, which was pretty good, soup was also to go. And he kind of fancied a sandwich himself now. "Okay pick whatever you want and tell the lady behind the counter," it was all about teaching the lad life skills really.

Koschei had no issue with ordering stuff. He just put on a shy smile and coyly requested a chicken wrap and shake to go. A thing that earned a rather sweet smile.

Seriously. Koschei knew how to charm people. The Master was in for one hell of a time when the kid hit puberty.

The Master rolled his eyes and ordered himself a coffee and a bacon sandwich, waiting patiently for the women to get them back to them. Unsurprisingly, they jumped the queue and got theirs early.

"You're a little charmer, I can't take you anywhere," he joked as he carried their food to the car.

Koschei just grinned. "I know. People like me." he chirped. He knew how to play the game to get what he wanted.

Settling into the car, he shifted to get himself comfortable. "Home now." he instructed lightly.

"Well clearly," the Master said, rolling his eyes and he loaded up the nearest seat with food. Time to head on home, he was hungry and his coffee would be cold if he didn't hurry.

The Master made pretty good speed and by the time they got outside the house, everything was still nice and warm. "Alright then, you'll have to carry your shake."

Koschei nodded as he took his drink and got out. He couldn't deny being hungry. Headed inside, he ruffled Sigma's fur before digging about in the bag of food.

"She gave us free fries!" Koschei declared, grinning as he pulled those out with his wrap.

Rolling his eyes, the Master ripped off some bacon and tossed it to Sigma before starting into his food. He usually added the milk and sugar at home for his coffee.

"When you become a teenager, it's gonna be hard going," the Master remarked with a small sigh.

Koschei shrugged lightly at that one. Eh. He didn't particularly care in that regard. He didn't have an interest in what his teenage years were going to be like yet.

"Am I going to go to a regular school when I'm older?" Koschei asked softly. Or would he continue on with a private tutor?

"Depends on what you want, you may want to social so you can, if you still hate it, tutor," the Master remarked as he sipped his coffee and gave his son a sideways look.

"Can't avoid people forever Kosch, you can't at work anyway," it was annoying but true.

Sighing, Koschei just shook his head. "I don't mind people. I like Epsilon." he pointed out simply.

He got along with Epsilon most of the time. So why should he bother with much else?

"You did indeed, you should try school again when you're older but tutoring is working now," it was less hassle and the boy learned better with that sort of special assistance.

"Do you still miss Epsilon?" the Master asked with a curious look on his face.
