The Doctor smiled softly at that one and nodded. Right. He could go with that. Easily. Especially since it didn't seem as though the Master was upset with him over all of this. Always good. "Yeah. We'll relax and I'll just...Make some lumpia with Kosch. Easy enough." he conceded with a grin. Eh. Why not? He wasn't about to complain to being able to relax a bit.

Shaking his head, the Doctor settled back, regarding the Master with a small grin. "So. How would you go about relaxing a bit? Watching something? Laying here? Talking?" he half teased lightly, grinning. What? He could ignore his nerves long enough to have fun...Right? Right.

(I hope this board works out better for you Smile )

The Master was too lazy to do much else, he merely fumbled for the remote, turned on the clangers and lazily sprawled out so he was half on the Doctor. Watching the TV with vague interest, he smiled somewhat and enjoyed the moment cause as much as he loved his power and his domination, sometimes he really just wanted to be lazy with the Doctor. Was that such a crime? The Doctor was comfortable. A bit bony and annoyingly tall but good enough.

"We can talk, what do you want talk about?" the Master asked?, he had no topic off the top of his head but then the Master hardly wanted to get into some sort of deep philosophical debate when he was feeling especially lazy. Though superficial topics were always easy to debate. "For ancient Time Lords, you'd think we'd have millions of interesting and deep conversations to have with one another."

{It is, actually. It's more maker friendly for those who don't know how to write and code an entire website from scratch.}

The Doctor snickered softly and shook his head. "No. Because we haven't led deep and meaningful lives. We've led chaotic lives the our ancestors were ashamed of. But that's alright. I like it that way. Much more entertaining." he mused with a grin. And it was. Who wanted to spend their entire life locked away and following the rules. Much better to make their own as they went along.

"There isn't much to talk about. I'm just...Nervous. Distractions help. I can't help if I'm nervous, though. Anyone would be." the Doctor murmured softly, cringing a bit. Even he knew that what he was doing wasn't going to be pleasant for a while. Not to mention that, once the Master had power and could change things or leave at will, he'd become even worse. Because he needed to cater and bend and keep the Master happy even more unless he lost the other in another sharp mood swing. The trick was managing to not break. The Doctor was, admittedly, terrified.

((Plus I have emails! I like them, they come in handy. Especially since I only have access to my email now. I started a new job so sorry for an odd replies!)

"I like to think we've lead fantastic lives," the Master remarked with a small yawn, they had but it wasn't exactly the wises and clever ways of the Time Lords. Especially considering that they pretty much did the complete opposite of what they were taught and what their parents told them. The Master, in fact, did the extreme opposite of his father. His dad loved humans? Well, the Master tried to kill them all.

"Well, if you want a distraction then we can make dinner together? And we can even pull Koschei into it. A family activity and a descent distraction. And why not? He was hungry, that would cure his hunger and it would give him a way to kill some time till this evening. the Doctor might of been nervous but the Master couldn't of been more excited.

(No worries. New job, huh? Like it?)

The Doctor briefly wondered how poorly begging the Master not to put him through this would go over. Probably very poorly. Shakin his head a bit, he squirmed away and sat up, offering a small smile. He wasn't stupid. He knew better than to try and pull that stunt.

"Sure. I'll go grab Kosch. I can help him roll the lumpia and you can fry it." the Doctor conceded, standing and doing just that. Mind, it took convincing to get Koschei to agree to assist, but it wasn't long before he had the child in the kitchen as he showed his son how to fold and fill the objects.

(Better than the last one but not much time on the computer yet, still getting used to it and all. Got to be up at 7am >.<)

"Sounds brilliant, I'll get started and you go fetch him," the Master wasn't even paying attention to the Doctors nerves because he was just too excited to get his own fix of power. It was selfish, it was childish and perhaps it was one of the many reasons this might backfire but right now, he was careless and how could that bother him now, it never did till something actually physically went wrong.

The Master smiled and turned his head to the Doctor, trying his best to look encouraging before he headed off to prepare to fry the lumpia. The Master was more than happy get do this, just to distract the Doctor and to do something with Koschei. The last thing he wanted to do was to accidentally make Koschei feel neglected. He wanted both of them to be happy.

The Doctor was easy enough to distract, focusing everything on softly instructing Koschei through their shared task. At least the kid seemed interested, following along and doing it with a startling concentration. He wasn't quite sure what to think about that one. It wasn't very often he saw Koschei actually focus on something. Then again, it wasn't often he did a hand oriented task with the kid.

They made enough for dinner, piling them carefully to be fried. Another thing Koschei was curious over. Even if the Doctor wasn't going to let him close to the bubbling oil. They didn't need another burn accident. Something he was pointedly using as another form of distraction. Why not? He had nothing else going for him.

The Master made sure to angle the frying pan so the boy had a direct view of what the Master was doing, smiling softly as he let Koschei watch. Course the boy couldn't get any closer in case he got a burn. Eventually the Master served them up on the plate and let the other two handle all the setting and how to go about all that nonsense. The Master didn't care for laying tables, he was much too lazy.

Sitting down to dinner, the Master was more than happy to ignore the subject of what they were going to do, far more interested in dinner. He was so hungry today, perhaps his poor diet was finally catching up with him? Who knew! All he knew was that he was starving. Besides, both he and the Doctor needed the energy. "So, tell me Koschei, how did your day at school? Science getting any better?"

Koschei perked up at that one and grinned. Oh! "Theta not allowed to touch the frog." he chirped. Epsilon had made that one perfectly clear. Also? "Theta also hit me." he admitted, shrugging. Make one shocked comment when you realize that your lab partner is, in fact, female, and apparently that's good enough reason to get slapped. Not like it hurt. It was just...A shock.

It would also need a bit of clarification from the look the Doctor shot him. "Thursday girls have to wear skirt an' Friday we wear what we want." Koschei offered. The other three days of the week was optional for the girls to wear either uniform. But when dealing with a seven year old who talked quickly, yet softly, and liked to keep their hair short? Yeah. Koschei couldn't be blamed.

"Seems odd though, forcing kids to wear those kind of clothes? I assumed forcing women to wear skirts died out with homophobia and empathy," the Master remarked, thinking more of Gallifrey in its later years. But hey, it wasn't his decision. And really, he should be more worried about the whole problem of getting koschei some casual clothes so he didn't look... well, poor.

But then he didn't know what Koschei's fashion was. Perhaps he liked the same clothes the Master did, they had a lot in common. He supposed he could work it out at a later date. But then he would have to try and find something kids would like and seemed fitting to his taste... being a dad was kind of annoying. "Let me guess, Theta is a girl then?"

"Theta didn't apprec...Appre...Like my point it out." Koschei grumbled. Really! Most of the girls didn't even mind the skirts! Theta was just an...Odd one. Worse than Epsilon! And that was definitely saying something. "Not my fault." he added firmly. No way was the kid going to take the blame on that one.

Chuckling softly, the Doctor shook his head a bit. And here he'd started to worry he'd screwed up. "Oh, I'm sure that she'll forgive you quick enough. After all, I doubt Theta is the only one in your class that surprised people with their gender." he reminded gently.

"In all fairness, if I was forced to do something I didn't want, I'd probably be pissed off as well," Who wanted to be forced to do something they hate? The Master rolled his eyes before tossing a lumpia into his mouth. He always found the concept of uniform annoying anyway, he remembered the stupid robes they had to wear on Gallifrey. He had ones measure for him to 'grow into' and spent the whole first and second year tripping over them.

"Ah yes, the mysterious and great question of this universe - are they a man or a women? You'd think gender issues would be the least of peoples worries," he just found the very idea somewhat insane admittedly. But then this was the Doctor, the seemed to specialise in making confusion and mixing a lot of odd traits into people. "Well, I suppose it could be worse."

{ Razz I got my puffer fish!}

The Doctor shook his head softly at that one. "I just meant that I'm sure Epsilon received a few odd looks as I don't picture him in a skirt." he stated with a shrug. That one had happened all on its own via the computer program that was set up. He had nothing to do with it personally. Which made it a bit more entertaining, admittedly.

Koschei rolled his eyes and picked at his food a bit, not the biggest fan of it. He glanced between the two Timelords, already knowing who to address as his gaze settled upon the Doctor, a small pout in place as he offered out his plate. "I dun like it...Can I have somethin' else?" he asked softly.

"Here. I'll make you some soup and a sandwich." the Doctor assured, taking the plate as he started his new task, Koschei settling back in his chair contently. At least it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

(Aww thats awesome! I love fish!)

Laughing somewhat, he couldn't help but be amused by the confusion of gender. After all, it was common here or so it seemed and he was actually quite amusing by the concept of it all. "I'm sure Epsilon would look dashing in a skirt. And would look wonderful in a suit," the Master teased, just for the sake of it. Cause really, Epsilon suited the feminine look and he was sure the same applied to Koschei.

The Master rolled his eyes and gave Koschei an amused look. Oh well, people couldn't like everything and he supposed Koschei couldn't always enjoy what they enjoyed. Still, it was a shame, meant they would have to have Lumpias only when Koschei wasn't around, just because it would be pointless to make them. "I would suggest a dessert to go after but I can't think of anything in particular. Any interest or preference, Kosch?"

{Yeah. I just got 3 dwarf puffers. Small and aggressive at times. I'm watching them to make sure I don't have any trouble. And it just attacked a snail. And I'm afraid one is acting kinda nippy.}

Shaking his head, Koschei gave a bit of a shrug. "Not really. 'M not that hungry." he admitted. He really just wanted to eat and play a bit. Which reminded him. "Can I play with train again after dinner?" he asked hopefully. Why not? He liked it.

"No. After you're done, you need to take a bath and read a bit. Then, maybe if it's not too late, you may play with it." the Doctor assured, putti the fold before the child as he sat down to eat once more. Was be stalling? Yes. But he didn't care.

(Yikes! Some are just naturally like that, they might calm down later on and adapt, its always a potential.)

The Master had to smile, he didn't know that his train had gone down so well but hey, maybe he could get the kid a book on trains or something, he'd have to track one down in the TARDIS library but it was worth it, he had a funny feeling that Koschei would be very fond of it.

"I can handle all of that stuff, you can have the evening off, Doctor. Relax, watch some TV," And yes, he was letting the Doctor gather energy. The Master was far more interested in playing around admittedly. And hey, he wanted to spend some time with Koschei, he didn't do that much any more. And he didn't mind helping the kid to read a bit.

{Actually? I now have 2 dwarf puffers. Shocked The male was about 1/4 of an inch and nippy. Well, the females are about 3-4 times his size and will nip back when provoked. Eh. Knew the risk. Those two seem fine enough, though.}

That would have been sweet had the Doctor not known the reasoning behind it. How could that be considered a positive? He was allowing himself to become energetic so that...What? He might not pass out later when he lost it all? Offering a small smile, he finished his lumpia and nodded. "Alright. I'll just go read a bit with Sigma in the bedroom. He could use the attention." he said simply, shrugging as he washed his plate and headed up.

Watching the Doctor go, Koschei cocked his head and glanced toward the Master. He was missing something. He knew it. He just didn't know what he was missing. "Is Doctor alright?" he asked slowly, that borderline possessive sense of protection slipping into this child's tone as he posed the inquiry. It wouldn't be pleasant if it were a no.

(Woah o.o good look wittle puffer fish! Well good luck to them, hopefully they won't nip each other too much.)

"He's fine, don't be daft. We're going to play around a bit later, do some science, maybe he's nervous or excited?" the Master theorised, quite obviously playing dumb but he didn't care, Koschei could hardly question him on it, could he? Smiling, the Master shrugged his shoulder. Eh, it wasn't the end of the world was it?

"The Doctor is fine, don't be paranoid. Now, come on. Are you done eating? You'll need that bath and I don't know how hot you have the water," the Master confessed, he had no idea how any of this worked admittedly He had never done the bedtime routine.

{They seem well enough now. I might have been pushing it with all 3, but they're content. They're eating snails and setting up their territories. So cute~!!}

Koschei shrugged and nodded pushing his dishes aside. "I can handle the bath." he assured firmly, nodding a bit with a small smile. He wasn't bothered. He was just curious about how easily the Doctor had given up the short period that he had Koschei willing to be doted on. Nights and mornings were things that the man just seemed to enjoy. They were the only times Koschei was openly affectionate with him.

"An' I can read...Just need little help." he assured, standing up and nodding. See? He was getting better. He just needed a chance to work on it. With that, he headed up to bathe, effectively leaving the Master with the dishes. Why not? Koschei didn't need to do them. That was the Doctor's job and the Doctor was given the evening off.

(Aww! I wish I had fish! My mom won't let us have fish cause she doesn't like that they have such a short life span >: which is rubbish!)

The Master sighed and glanced at the dishes. Heh, yeah right, did anyone actually think the Master was genuinely going to wash the dishes? Shaking his head, he hide most of them under the sink. He'd just bring them out later when the Doctor wasn't on break and slip them in subtly so he didn't get called on it.

The Master finished tidying everything up that needed to be cleaned every so slight and put away before he headed upstairs to make sure Koschei hadn't flooded everything or burned himself on the hot water. Knocking the bathroom door, he frowned. "Everything going well, Kosch?"

{Huh. Dwarf puffers are high maintenance, as they need 50% water changes weekly and eat only live food, but they're good. When cared for properly they can live between 5 and 15 years.}

Koschei perked up at the sound of the other's voice as he drained the tub. What? He'd gotten cleaned. He wanted to get everything done so that he could play. What kid didn't prefer playing. "Be out in minute!" he assured as he dried off. It really wasn't more than a few minutes before Koschei slipped out, dried and dressed for the night.

"Reading now. Then train." Koschei chirped, grinning as he started for his room. He could get this done quickly and be good. At least he wasn't having any sort of problem with doing it all, right? He was just doing it all very quickly. And pointedly trying to get it done in a manner that meant he didn't need to redo it.

(Aww, I couldn't feed them live food :/ same reason why I can't have a turtle, even though they're awesome! I'll stick to just watching the goldfish in the kids reception area :3)

The Master grinned at the boys eagerness and ushered him to the bedroom so the two of them could get the reading done. Pulling the nearest book off the side, he sat down by the boy and pressed it into his hands. Well, it was the Doctors idea, he was much more eager to let Koschei have his play while he hunted down the train book and then Koschei could sleep and he'd get what he wanted.

He honestly couldn't wait! Smirking, the Master turned the page for Koschei and watched over his shoulder, giving the boy the chance to get ready. "So just read this one chapter, its a short book so don't worry, should take... 15 minutes at the absolute max then you can play," the Master offered, obviously eager to get reading done as well.

{Yeah. I would feed them frozen bloodworms, but parasites in a freezer don't sit well. So the pet store gave me the pest snails that overrun their tanks and get thrown out anyway.}

Koschei took the book and carefully took to reading, It wasn't too difficult. He just covered the words up and went through it all one at a time. It took a bit more time, but it wasn't too bad. When finished, he glanced up to the Master hopefully. Usually, this was when the Doctor tricked him into reading more. A thing he didn't quite want at the moment.

"'M done. I can play now?" Koschei asked slowly, tone giving away that he wasn't looking for anything other than an agreement. He'd bathed and read. He should be allowed to play a bit before he settled with going to be. Not that he really wanted that either.

(Yes, I see how parasites in the fridge can be off putting! But I suppose everythings gotta eat, that's life!)

"All right, you can play with the train for half an hour then bed, all right? So go play and I'm going to go find a book. I'm trusting you to be responsible so be good and have fun," ruffling the kids hair, he let the kid have his fun. Yes, he was soft on the kid but kids were kids, they always wanted to play. It was normal.

And Koschei being normal was always a plus. Getting up, he headed downstairs and moved downstairs, hoping that the Doctor hadn't locked the basement. Heading into the TARDIS, he made sure to prop the door open just in case and headed down to see what books the Doctor had in his library. It was a long shot but worth a look.

And Koschei took that as all the approval he needed, heading to play with the train. It was fine. He quite enjoyed changing the tracks around and making to got through the various shapes. Even if it could be made more efficient. But that wasn't really the point. At least, according to the Master it wasn't.

The trouble was that, when the thirty minutes were up, he didn't want to go to sleep. Which is why he instead took to pestering the Doctor. Well...Not pestering. But making it impossibly for the man to read because Koschei was clinging. It took another twenty minutes and carefully moving the now sleeping kid before the Doctor could call it good. Well...Good in terms of sneaking back to bed to try and pretend he was asleep in hopes of getting out of their plans for the night.
