"Glad you like it," the Master offered, ruffling the boys hair as the two of them watched the window. Those in the train with them gave both himself and Koschei odd looks, they weren't used to the odd little family coming out into public and for a man like the Master with such a reputation for not being the nicest bloke, seeing him dote on his son was definitely odd.

"Want to go for a wander?" the Master asked finally as the trains settled into a constant motion. They had a big train to inspect and look at and the Master wanted Koschei to see as much as it as he could. Something fun for him before they went off to the cabin and left him behind. He'd have something to talk Epsilons ear off over.

Koschei glanced to the other and nodded slowly. "'Kay." he chirped brightly with a smile, standing a bit. He couldn't help himself. This was...A lot to take in for him. Because he was...And this was...This was a lot different than a toy train that he could control and play with.

"I wanna see." he informed simply, grinning. Yeah, this had been the right move. Especially with the Master leaving him in favor of spending time along with the Doctor again. A thing he was not pleased over.

The Master headed along the train, slipping through the carriages and peering around at the various people and crew. As they headed through, the Master stopped at the refreshment tray and snagged two biscuits from one of the plates, passing one down to Koschei as they continued their travels.

The back of the train was lovely, they could see through the emergency exit as the steam puffed out and the tracks flicked into view very swiftly. He was sure Koschei would adore Thomas the tank Engine-- well, the older cartoons he used to watch when he was locked up by UNIT. They were very amusing. "Maybe we can get into the see the conductor?"

Well. If wandering about and seeing the train was a bit overwhelming, then that little suggestions was beyond what he was expecting. "Can we?" he asked slowly. Because Koschei wasn't so sure that that would actually work out too well.

Not because they weren't allowed. The Master seemed to be able to do as he pleased without any trouble. But he didn't want to distract the conductor. He didn't want to cause trouble either.

"I was thinking we'd have to time it right. When they stop at the next stop, we'll slip in and have a quick look and then we can take a seat and relax for the rest of the trip," the Master remarked because really, they should be able to if they play it right. Smiling, he put his hand on Koschei back and guided the boy back through the train.

"We'll sit at the front, yeah? That way, when they stop off when we can slip in quick," the Master wasn't foolish enough to distract the conductor but he did want Koschei to see it all before they got back home. Make it memorable.

Koschei nodded along lightly, putting up no form of resistance as they walked. Eh. Why not? He wasn't going to complain. He quite enjoyed the chance to be able to enjoy himself like this. Particularly with the sudden change in their lives.

"'Kay...Thank you." he added as an after thought. Eh. Why not? The Doctor had tried instilling manners into him before Koschei managed to make it all just a tad bit too difficult. But that didn't mean that he didn't know to show gratitude toward the Master.

The Master took a seat and offer Koschei a nod and a smile, well it was nice to see Koschei with some manners, not that it was needed that much. Smiling, he gently ruffled the kids hair. "Look, I don't know where you stand on your new brother any more but I just thought that with the Doctor bound to be busy with the new kid, you and I would have a lot more time together again."

Or in theory anyway, someone had to amuse Koschei while the Doctor bonded with Marnal and the Master had been doing it long enough. "We could amuse one another, take trips and go see other trains. Things like that."

Alright. Bringing up a new kid wasn't actually a good thing. Fine, he had accepted it. That didn't mean he liked it. "Why?" he asked slowly. Alright. That was actually something that Koschei had yet to ask That didn't mean he wasn't bothered by it.

''Why? Why have another? You dun need a new kid...So why?" Koschei asked with a deep frown. Seriously? They had Koschei. They didn't need somebody else!

"We don't need another one, we just kind of wanted another one. We though it would benefit you and the Doctor could use a little kid to amuse him," the Master offered, knowing that he couldn't explain the real truth. He had to be careful with his wording. There was no doubt there, he couldn't upset him.

"Koschei, we both love you and you know that. But part of being in a family is that it grows. Siblings is just a part of life. I mean, I had more 'brothers' than I could count," the Master pointed out, hoping it would help Koschei to understand it was normal.

Normal? Fine. He could accept that. But that didn't mean that Koschei wasn't going to latch onto something and run away with it. "Did you like it?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "Were you happy?" he added lightly. It was highly doubtful.

Who would be happy? To have siblings to pick at you and annoy you. To have less time with your parents because your sibling or siblings were running about and taking that time for themselves> Koschei knew well enough that he wouldn't like it.

"I hated it. But I was the youngest Koschei. Do you know what its like to be the youngest? You're second best. Now the first born? Lucky gits, they are," the Master pointed out, giving Koschei an amused look. He was the oldest and therefore in charge of his brother and unlikely to end up with second hand clothing like the Master always did.

"But even in a big family, I got plenty of time with my dad and mom. I had no interest in them but I had it," the Master offered, making sure he made that point clear so Koschei got the point that they weren't rejecting him. They never would. "And it wasn't all bad, some of my siblings weren't too bad. They were always there for me if I really really needed them."

The child shook his head slowly at that one and rolled his eyes. "No." he said simply. And that was that. No. He wasn't going to take into consideration what the Master was saying. Mind, he wasn't saying the other couldn't have a kid.

He just wasn't accepting it all. He would plan to keep the brat's attention on him and not on their parents. He didn't want the Master to pay him less attention. He didn't want the Doctor to do it either.

"You'll get used to it and then you'll love it," the Master offered with a small shrug but that was that, he wasn't willing to keep on debating it. He just wanted to bypass it. The Master smiled playfully and when the train pulled to a stop outside its destination, the Master got to his feet and took Koschei's hand s he didn't get lost in the crowd.

The Master pushed his way through and knocked lightly on the conductors door. "Now, Koschei? Behave, don't touch anything and we'll just have a brief look around then leave him be," it made sense right?

Koschei went along, not the least bit happy about the new kid thing, but willing enough to drop it. It didn't take long for the door to be opened, granting them access to the compartment. Always a good thing. Particularly because Koschei wanted to poke about.

A thing he immediately started in on, being careful not to actually jar or bump anything. He didn't need to screw up a train. That was something not even the Master could fix for him.

The conductor greeted them with a wary look but offered a nod anyway, watching Koschei carefully to make sure the lad didn't mess up his train. Course he could hardly stay anything, could he? "Come to have a look around, mate?"

The Master nodded and kept his hand firmly in Koschei's as he idly peered around. "Just showing him the ins and outs, we'll be gone shortly," the Master muttered as he and Koschei peered at the mechanisms and levers that helped the train go. It was all very well put together, almost like a puzzle fitted properly to help the train move.

The Master really shouldn't of taken him to see the train. Because now it was something that he would be obsessing over again. Particularly at home when he had a chance to pick at the train set the Master had made.

When the conductor seemed to be getting a bit anxious with the schedule and them being in there, Koschei glanced to the Master and shrugged. "'M done now." he assured lightly. He would prefer to stick about, but he didn't want to be in the way.

"We're done then, thanks," the Master offered as he ushered Koschei out and the two left the man be as they took their seats. They had another hour to relax and enjoy the place. And really? He could of given him worse hobbies. Trains were nice, simple and well made all together. Great for a young kid.

"Well, definitely give you something to think about huh? We can get you more books on trains, just to study them a bit," the Master got the fascination. When he first saw a human aeroplane, he'd been completely taken with it!

((Off to bed!))

Koschei nodded along lightly and went along with the other, getting settled into his seat once more. Alright. He liked this. He enjoyed the trains and being about to see a full scale one in full. It was just...Him. He enjoyed this sort of thing.

"'Kay." he murmured, glancing toward the Master and offering a bit of a smile. Eh. At least the Master got it. That's all that really mattered for him at the moment. He liked that the man gave him these things. It was enough to keep Koschei contented, at least.

The Master smiled and ruffled Koschei's hair. He liked the kid having a good head screwed onto his shoulders. After all, he and Koschei seemed to have something in common - namely things like trains and the inner workings.

Who knew? Maybe he culd get Koschei into something like engineering or mechanics. He could always let Koschei work with Verica, when he sorted everything out of course. But it was a matter of making sure he liked it.

Smiling, Koschei settled with watching out the window once more, idly humming the lullaby the Master had sang to him once. At least the man knew it had stuck with him. That much was somethin at least. All in all, it had been a relatively good evening.

"Why didn't Doctor come with?" Koschei asked softly after a bit. It was a valid curiousity. Why hadn't he come along? It wasn't as though the Doctor didn't try to spend time with the two of them whenever possible.

"I gave him the night off, I don't think he cared much for trains," the Master admitted, he did try to invite him along but he felt daft after a while to try and pull the Doctor into this little trip. Besides, he liked spending time with his son alone. He liked having alone time with both of them and time together. It was always fun.

"This weekend, we'll do something as a family, the Doctor and I agreed. Maybe a trip somewhere. Any ideas?" The Master asked, curious for him to suggest something or chip in his thoughts, just to get Koscheis opinion.

"I dunno." Koschei admitted simply. And he honestly didn't know. Though...Can we fish again?" he asked hesitantly. He wasn't even going to attempt asking for a camping trip. He figured that was long out of the question.

"Or...Go somewhere? I dun care where." Koschei assured firmly. And he really didn't. He was happy enough spending time with the two Timelords. How could he not be? It was something to do.

"We can go somewhere to fish, hows that?" the Master knew camping wouldn't happen, not after last time. Maybe in the future when he got over it all but for now? Nah, he preferred just an outing. Maybe a hotel if they had to but that was about it.

"We could see the beach as well? Well, no rush to decide. I'll get a few books on different places we can go and you can just flip through," he found that Koschei was good at making up his mind if he wanted to. And if not? The Master was happy to decide and let the Doctor know

Koschei nodded lightly in agreement at that one, settling in for the rest of the ride. He couldn't help it. He was starting to feel somewhat tired at the moment. He snuggled up against the Master, drifting off slowly to the movement of the train.

Only to jar awake when the train rolled to a stop once more. Right. "Is time to get off yet?" he mumbled softly, rubbing at his eyes as he yawned. What? Koschei had been up all the night before with excitement and had run about all day.

The Master smiled playfully and easily lifted Koschei, thankful for the boys short stature. If he'd been any bigger, it might of been hard to carry him around. Soon enough, it would get too hard to carry him. Maybe another year or so. Well, either way it made things easy for the kid and the Master didn't mind.

"Come on, we'll get home and you can get some sleep in," looked like putting him to sleep would be easy. He thanks the staff before slipping out of the train, ignoring those watching him as he strolled off towards the car, setting Koschei down by his door. "Hop in and I'll get us home in record time."
