| How cute. The Master thought that would prevent his clinging. Koschei very quickly proved that one wrong, latching onto the Man's neck instead with a soft sound of distress. This was never going to end well for the other.
"No! I don't wanna share you! I don't wanna lose you." he murmured firmly. Yeah. Every kid's nightmare. Their parent losing interest in favor of another.

| "Why would you ever lose me?" the Master complained, rolling his eyes at how silly the kid was being. He was literally attached to him now. Gently pulling the boy away, he sighed and held him at a distance so they could talk rationally.
"He's a work mate, Koschei. Don't stress yourself out. When you and Epsilon were mates, you never stopped loving me, did you?... Why would I stop loving you?" the Master counteracted with a small frown.

| Because he was a psychopath that did the Master's head in. A thing that honestly bothered him. Because the Master got fed up with him. The Doctor being about did nothing more than to put him on edge. He couldn't really be blamed.
Sighing softly, Koschei ducked his head and shrugged. "I don't care. I don't like it. You don't need a friend. You have me. An' you have Verica." he asserted firmly.

| "Koschei, whether you like it or not, I have a new friend. But it won't overly affect you, promise. Now, come on, don't be silly," the Master asserted, he loved the little clingy brat, it didn't mean he couldn't have friends.
"The only reason you're reacting this way is because you don't like the Doctor... and I'm sorry you don't," the Master remarked with a small shrug of dismissal because it just seem a little over the top.

| It would be better if he could be able to sit back and comprehend what it was that was bothering him. But he couldn't. Not really. Sighing softly, Koschei shook his head a bit and frowned. He would drop it then. If only for that moment.
"'M hungry. An' I don't wanna deal with it." he muttered softly. And wasn't that something? Koschei didn't want to deal with the Doctor beig friends with his dad.

| "We'll make something to eat then... just stop stressing yourself out over it. The Doctor is just a man, just someone I enjoy talking to. And that's it," the Master informed him, offering the boy a small smile.
"Now stop messin' around and come on, yeah? You can help me cook, you know I'm useless," the Master remarked as he headed into the kitchen to see if they had anything to put together.

| Sighing softly, the kid nodded softly and got up to head into the kitchen. "'Kay. Something easy." he chided. He didn't need the Master making a fool of himself in the kitchen again.
Because Koschei honestly wanted to eat. Couldn't help himself there. Not really. Because the Master couldn't cook. Period. "An' we don't have anything to do tomorrow, right?" he asked warily. How was he meant to know that's whenthe birthday was?

| "It's Marnals birthday," the Master reminded the boy as he got some bread out. French bread, bacon and eggs? Sounded right to him. "But, we're gong early, about 11am and then we can have some snacks, give the kid a gift of cash and then we'll leave after an hour or two. We could do something after."
It couldn't possibly last too long, could it? After all, it was simply a job of getting and out, right?

| "Fine. One hour. We go an' we leave." he asserted. It was a near miracle that Koschei was agreeing to that much. Because he wasn't happy. In the least. But if they only had to go in and drop off a bit of money, then he could handle it.
"I don't wanna go, but I will. An' then we can do something together." Koschei agreed softly. What else could be expected of him?

| "Deal. You and me will go on a train ride, yeah?" the Master suggested as he prepared to french toast and placed it in a frying pan. Trains were just something they could do that he knew Koschei would love.
"We can go and see the proper train station in town? There's a cafe by it, we can have dinner then go for a ride and we can walk back," the Master mused with a small shrug. Worked for him.

| Koschei nodded softly at that and offered a small smile nhe couldn't help himself with that one. It wasn't much of an issue for him. He liked trains. He really did. And it would be just the two of them. Exactly what he preferred.
"'Kay. I can do that." Koschei agreed softly. Couldn't help that. He settled into helping, handing over eggs and the like when needed.

| "It'll be great, promise. And I won't let anyone ruin it. Just you and me," the Master promised and he would keep it, he loved spending time with his son. Though part of him now knew he had to reel it back a bit and maybe he should encourage Koschei to socialise.
He hardly needed the boy becoming too attached or things might get ugly whenever he did make a proper real friend.

| The Master really should reconsider things. Because this was just ridiculous. Koschei didn't want to go with the Master to this party and he didn't want to share. But it would be worth the trains.
"Fine. I don't care. I just wanna go with you. Just us." Koschei murmured with a small shrug. Yeah. That was all that he was honestly looking toward.

| "But you do know that in life, there will be a lot of other people. It can't always be us. I'm not saying we can't be close or spend time together... but we can't just only see one another," the Master tried, just to push the point out again.
"I love you and you're like a friend but we'll both make other friends eventually. So don't worry if I make other friends... cause you and I won't even stop spending time together," the Master explained, hoping to calm and soothe the silly kid.

| Because bringing it up again was something that would help with him? Koschei bristled and shot the other a dark look at that one. "No. I don't want you to." Koschei said pointedly.
Couldn't the Master just drop it already? Koschei wasn't going to ease up. Especially if he didn't approve of whoever the Master was hanging about with. And he definitely did not approve.

| Sighing, the Master did drop it because this discussion would never work. Discussion wouldn't mean anything compared to action and if he acted properly, he could fix this before Koschei reached double digits.
It only seemed fair to let the boy social and perhaps getting him a tutor was a bad idea? Maybe he needed to social. Putting the finished french toast aside, he put the bacon in the frying pan and pulled out another one for the eggs.

| Poor Master. He was stuck with a rather trying child. And really? Koschei wasn't going to be too willing to socialize. But who said he had to? Perhaps he could figure out a new way to settle down and the like.
Because Koschei wasn't willing to socialize. It didn't end too well for him the last attempt. Not really. So why would he want to do it again? Sighing, he settled in at the table, watching the Master closely.

| The Master finished making dinner, setting everything down and passing it alone to Koschei with a small smile. Well, he made dinner, didn't he? That was definitely good enough, he never said he was a chief.
Taking a seat opposite the boy, he started into his dinner, putting some bacon aside for Sigma. "So, ignoring the Doctor and Marnal, did you at least like the trip to the zoo... you used to love the zoo."

| Koschei nodded softly as he ate. "Was fun. I like the zoo." he assured with a small shrug. "Saw servals. Mr. Smith owns one." he added carelessly. Why would it matter to him?
He wasn't all that interested. Koschei didn't care much about the Doctor or the trips. Why would he bother? At least the money and things being given to them helped to soothe him a bit.

| "Impressive. We should go to the zoo together someday again. I haven't taken you many places lately, we only really go to trains... never taken you to a water park either or a theme park," the Master remarked with a small shrug.
He showed the boy so little outside their small personal world and frankly, he felt pretty guilty over that. He needed to get the boy back out into the real world instead of staying with him.

| Koschei looked to the other and shrugged. "We can go. 'M finished." he informed, shrugging as he stood. He still needed a bath and the like. Perhaps he could paint or something. Hadn't done that in a bit.
"We can go somewhere. I'll be good." Koschei assured before turning and heading up to get cleaned up. He always was the independent one.

| "Course you will. Now I'll be up to run your bath, just get your pyjamas ready," the Master called a he finished up eating and set the rest on the floor for sigma to have a snack on.
Heading upstairs, he started the bath and sat on the edge of the tub, trying to swallow all his worry for tomorrow. He just wanted the boy to behave and play nice with that poor bastard Marnal.

| Koschei did as he was told and got into the bath. He couldn't really help himself when it came to his own nerves. Because he wasn't looking forward to having the Master and the Doctor about one another again.
Koschei calmly took to getting himself clean, shooting the Master a quick look. "Why did you agree to go?" he asks slowly. That had nothing to do with the Doctor. That implied a soft spot for the brat.

| "Because the Doctor is helping my son find a school and I'm helping his son by giving him the illusion that someone out there other than his dad wishes him a happy birthday," the Master explained as he brushed his teeth in the sink. He felt sorry for the friendless bastard.
"I'm sorry you hate it but it's a one off," the Master agreed as he spat into the sink. He didn't have any plans to see the man outside of work after that, it'd do Koschei some good.

| "Not my fault he's a freak." Koschei murmured as he finished up, getting out and drying off. He'd never been one to spend hours simply playing about in the bath. It was a waste of time when he could do so much better.
"It's fine. 'M gonna go paint before bed." Koschei informed as he dressed, heading to do just that. What more could be expected? He'd paint and go to bed. No problems there.
