"Don't call me Johnny." the Doctor said simply. One would think that the other would have figured that out by how.

As for what they should do? "I picked up a film to watch. Some thriller that's suppose to be really good."

((Hey just a heads up, I'm going on holiday for a week and I won't be back till next Saturday, my laptop is on it's last legs so I can't take it so I will be struggling to get tags but I'll be back in a week <3))

"Sounds great," the Master promised with a small smile, he couldn't help himself, he was just happy to have a break from being a dad and just have a bit of a good time.

"I'm sorry I can't stay longer, kids are the bane of our existence," the Master remarked with a shrug.

The Doctor smiled softly and shrugged. "I can't complain much. I mean, it had been a bit rough for them both lately." he stated.

He was far from bothered by it. He had no reason to be. After all, it wasn't as though it was a large inconvenience.

"I really do feel bad for them, Koschei can barely sleep, keeps having nightmares Marnal told me the same," and he was worried about them, they needed health or too relax.

It was a little sad really. "I wish I could help Kosch, he's taking it all so hard."

"I know. I do feel bad for Marnal. The two of us both had a really rough weekend." the Doctor murmured softly.

And he got that it was his fault. That didn't make him feel any better. If anything, it made him feel worse.

"I think we should take a break," the Master said with a small sigh. "I took Koschei to the beach today, it was nice, maybe you should take Marnal off somewhere fun?"

Well, when the Doctor wasn't working anyway. "... Quick question, should I get a cat?"

It was a little difficult not to take that the wrong way. Because taking a break usually just meant breaking up without actually wanting to go through the trouble. "If that's what you want, then that's fine. We can take a break." the Doctor granted, absolutely refusing to be bothered by that.

After all, it shouldn't have been a surprise when the other assured him that relationships weren't something the Master did well. "Do you want a cat?" the Doctor asked softly.

"Not like that, I mean... like we could use a break from this mess," the Master tried to explain, knowing he'd said that badly. He just wanted them to have a good time really.

"Not overly, I'm indifferent, but Koschei wants one and I'm considering it... he's a lonely boy, he'll never socialise, I figure why not?" ikt wasn't like he was rolling in friends or anything.

"If you want to get a cat for him, then I don't see why you shouldn't." he said softly, shrugging. He regarded the Master, frowning lightly in the process. Really?

"Sorry. When somebody says that they need a break or a break from a mess, it's a little hard not to take it wrong." the Doctor pointed out, not looking for confrontation. It was simply the trust of the matter.

((Off to bed!))

"I suppose I will, I'll grab one tomorrow and he can enjoy himself with that for a while," the boy needed friends and if they had to be animals, so be it. He didn't mind.

He had Sigma, Koschei could have his cat. "Oh I guess, sorry, not used to all this dating slang. I didn't date much," he just got what he wanted and ditched them usually.

And that was precisely what bothered the Doctor. After all, it wasn't like he could just ignore the other's distaste toward dating. Even if he tended to try.

"It's fine. Glad that today isn't the day you decided to dump me though." the Doctor admitted. Which meant that, yes, he expected that to happen sooner or later. "And I'm sure he'd love a cat."

The master offered a frown. That was about as big a sign as someone needed to know that they weren't considered trust worthy.

"Do you think one day I'll just up and leave?" Cause that just kind of sucked, he thought he was a bit more trustworthy than that.

The Doctor just gave a little shrug in response. "I have some trust issues. That's just how it is. I try not to think it, but you did tell me how spectacularly horrid you are with relationships." he reminded.

He was sort of expecting something to happen. You don't just tell a person that you're that bad with commitment and not expect for them to be waiting for something to happen.

"Good point, you've sort of got me there," the Master admitted but he had no real plans to just take off and leave the poor sod, he had a heart and he didn't want to hurt the Doctor in that way. He was very fond of him.

"I don't want you to worry about that cause really, I don't want things to end," he really liked being with him, he couldn't explain why though.

The Doctor cringed a bit and nodded. He got it. Truly he did. But that didn't mean that he wasn't still going to worry over it from time to time.

"I can try not to worry about it. I'm trying to work on that whole trust issue. It might just take a little." he murmured softly.

"I'll try to keep your trust, just don't expect me to leave," the Master offered with a smile. He gave the Doctor a quick kiss on the cheek. He was trying to be nice.

But he would never be perfect. Even he knew that. "Whens the kid sleeping?"

The Doctor glanced to the clock and smiled softly. "I'm going to go tuck him in in about ten minutes. I got him up early today so that he'd be tired tonight." he admitted.

Did that make him a bad person? Because the Doctor didn't really think twice about pulling a somewhat sneaky stunt like this to benefit himself.

The master nodded, he did that with Koschei himself. He couldn't help it. He was not overly pleased with himself but it made life easier for him.

"When he's asleep, we'll watch that film," and maybe get a drink.

The Doctor smiled softly and nodded. He didn't mind much. "I'll be back in a few." he assured, heading up to his son's bedroom.

"Hey there, kiddo. You about ready to get to bed?" the Doctor asked lightly.

Marnal was already half asleep, he was curled up on the bed beside Rose, who was already fast asleep. He stared at his dad sleepily.

"I want to go to bed," the boy mumbled, unable to get himself up, he was too tired to take a bath. Bad idea being woken.

He would just have Marnal take a bath come morning. But for now? Now the Dictor just helped his son get dressed for bed and settled in, even reading a story before slipping out quietly.

"Okay then. Would you like anything while we watch the film? Popcorn, a soda..." the Doctor prompted lightly. It was only polite to offer.

"Got any drinks like alcoholic? Wine, beer, anything," he wouldn't be mad if there wasn't for obvious reasons. He wanted something to take the edge off.

The Master smiled playfully. "Or just a coke, if you fancy."

"I have some sweet wine left from when I left Iros." the Doctor said lightly, shrugging a bit as he dug it out. He didn't drink often, if at all.

"Will this do for you?" the Doctor asked playfully, smiling a bit. He really didn't mind.

The Master nodded and offered the Doctor another kiss, clearly happy with the wine. Taking a sip, he turned his head and grinned.

"Hows the boy?"the Master asked, fairly curious actually.

"Exhausted. He and Rose are contently passed out upstairs." the Doctor assured lightly. It was all that he could honestly ask for at the moment.

"Come into the living room and I'll put the movie on." the Doctor murmured, heading to the next room to do just that. He'd gotten something he thought the Master might enjoy.
