Imaginary Worlds

That was not something the Master heard often from anyone, especially not his usually stand offish son. They'd said it to one another once or twice but not that often. The Master turned his head and raised an eyebrow.

"I love you too Koschei," the Master assured as a small smile. He didn't want to pry into why it was said. Partly because he didn't want to put the boy off expressing himself and partly because he feared this was some manipulative ploy. Either way, he kept making breakfast.

Koschei laid his head upon the table and sighed softly, closing his eyes slightly. Because it wasn't a manipulation thing. It was honestly just because he was feeling bad for the last few days and the like. He felt bad.

So he was being affectionate to make up for it. He didn't mean anything by it in the least. Particularly after everything else that had taken place as of late.

The Master did Koschei's first, setting the boys breakfast down and letting him get started while he did his own. He knew Koschei could be an awkward handful but he really did love the kid.

"You know, today is the weekend and I have the time off properly. We could go see a train if you're feeling better. If not then maybe we could make some new carriages for the toy one," the Master suggested, knowing that no boy wanted to be bored on their days off.

The Master had time off. That was always a good thing to hear. Koschei much preferred when the man didn't have to work so much. Humming softly as he took to picking through his breakfast, the child gave a small shrug. What? He didn't know what to decide.

"Can we make one? I like that." Koschei offered. And it as easy. Not to mention that it didn't cost them anything to do. They already had everything that they needed right there. They didn't need to worry about filling the car or buying a ticket.

"Great well after breakfast we can get it all set up," smiling contently, the Master tucked in and made his way through his finally cooked breakfast, Hell, he even watched up first thing afterwards.

He actually felt in a good mood, Koschei's little confession was quite the pick me up the Master needed. "Maybe we should get take out tonight, saves cooking again. Fancy anythng?"

Koschei hummed softly and gave a small shrug. "I don't care." he assured, watching the man clean up. Wasn't often that happened first thing. Dishes usually sat for a bit before becoming a bother.

He stood and stretched, offering a small smile. Why not? This was definitely pleasant. A lovely Saturday for him and his dad before he started school up again. Maybe he could manage to pull the pity card and get the Doctor to help pay off a private tutor.

"Come on then," the Master requested as they headed upstairs to the Masters spare bedroom. That was where all supplies were kept and he did hoard a lot of scrap and wood all over the place.

He got out what they needed and set it all on the floor before sitting down beside the boy to get to work. One really good saturday but the horror of school. He thought it was a good idea anyway.

Koschei settled down himself to get to work, mainly just following along. Why not? It would be fun. It was something that he could honestly enjoy. He mostly just wanted to paint. Who could fault him that one?

Sighing softly, he settled with handing things over until he could get to the fun part. Eh. That's what kids did. They stalled until they could do as they pleased. Koschei was no different in that regard.

The Master didn't take long to assemble the template and glue it all in place, knowing exactly what Koschei was after. Lining the paints up and praying the kid didn't get them everywhere, he passed it over.

"Be careful Koschei," the Master offered as he passed a paint brush to the lad. He didn't care that much for the floor or anything like that. It was mostly the boys clothes, they were a pretty nice set.

Tch. Careful. Koschei just hummed softly and got straight to work on painting the object. It was what he enjoyed doing. It was actually somewhat calming for him.

A thing they desperately needed. Koschei glanced to the Master and grinned when done, setting the finished piece aside to dry properly. He'd even been careful.

"Good job with the paint work," Koschei was obviously a natural artist, the Master had always been a critical thinker and an academic, the only reason he was so good with fiddly creations was that he spent many times working with mechanics and fixing whatever he broke.

It was just a handy skill to have. "So while that dries, we can grab a snack and maybe give Sigma some attention," poor dog got lonely when they were constantly amusing the poor sod.

"Kay...Sigma needs a bath." Koschei said while wrinkling his nose a bit. What? It was true. The dog didn't get out all too often, but the pup still needed to be cleaned up. Even if it would be a bit of a mess.

He stood and stretched, giving a small smile to his dad. "An' can I have pretzels? I like those. With chocolate!" Koschei requested brightly. What? It was a valid request.

"Chocolate and pretzels? You'll have a stomach ache," the Master warned as he headed out and picked up Sigma when the puppy came bouncing at him for attention. Okay, Koschei had a fair point, someone needed a bath.

"Well, we have chocolate in the kitchen but if you can find pretzels in there then you can have them. I'm going to run Sigma a bath," he didn't often wash the dog, especially not when it got closer to winter as it would wash off the protective oils. But he had been in so much mud lately that he really did need a quick scrub.

Koschei did find the pretzels, munching on a few with a little bit of chocolate. He was smart enough to eat only a little, figuring moderation would be best. He didn't want to get sick.

Afterward, he sought the Master out, smiling as he looked at Sigma getting his bath. Poor dog just wanted to play it would seem. "'M done now." he assured lightly.

"Good for you," the Master muttered as Sigma leapt at him once more, almost knocking him off his feet. The Master was just as wet as Sigma and had soap all over him but the damn dog though they were playing some weird game.

"Koschei, could you go grab me a towel or something?" The Master asked as he tried to keep Sigma down and that worked as well as expected, he just got water fling in his face when the dog leapt up, barking happily towards Koschei.

The Master really didn't know what having Koschei get closer would do. He brought a towel over, laughing and ducking behind the Master when Sigma flipped out, jumping and shaking the water off. It was funny.

It was completely soaking the Master and the bathroom. "At least he's clean." Koschei chirped lightly. Yeah. That probably wasn't too appreciated.

The Master had to literally grab Sigma to stop the puppy from running into the hallway. The creature wriggled and licked the Masters face before straining to get to Koschei, shaking water all over the Master.

"You're doing the next bath!" the Master ordered as he tried to dry the damn dog. When he managed to towel the mutt off, Sigma happily shook off the excess and leapt at Koschei. The Master sighed and sat amount the puddles of water. "I think Sigma likes baths too much."

Koschei chuckled softly, ruffling the pup and grinning. "Come on! Sigma wants to go for a walk!" he declared brightly. And that seemed to be the trigger word. The pup started to yip and bound about, running out into the hall and around like a maniac.

What? Koschei just wanted to take the puppy out to have some fun. What kid didn't like to go out for a bit? And it wouldn't be fair not to take Sigma along with.

The Master stood up and frowned somewhat, dripping all over the place. Well, the boy wanted to get out, that was great. But he really needed to get changed first. "All right, you try and control the beast and I'll pull something dry on."

Heading into his bedroom, he changed swiftly and tossed his wet clothes into the washing basket. Shame as well, he was pretty sure that jumper was ruined now. Towelling off his hair, he headed down after Koschei. "Got his lead ready?"

Koschei did as he was told and got the dog taken care of. "Ready." he chirped, holding the lead out for the Master to take. Yes. He'd gotten the dog to get bathed, only to go out and run in the mud all over again.

The poor Master. The man turned around and did all of that for absolutely nothing it would seem. Koschei might have planned that one.

It was official - his son was a criminal mastermind. Sighing, he snagged Sigma's lead and tried his hardest to stop the dog from nose diving into mud. As long as he didn't roll around in it, the Master was happy.

He didn't think it would be a big issues admittedly. "Once around the park then back home, I don't think Sigma needs a long walk."

"But he's a beagle. Beagles need lots of exercise." Koschei said lightly. Then again, he wasn't about to push. But it was definitely entertaining. Even if he was already on thin ice.

This was completely innocent. "But once around the park is good." Koschei conceded. Yeah. He was being nice. He was granting the Master that one without any fuss.

"I walk Sigma every day, I know how long to take him out for and he only needs a quick job, he's still a puppy," the Master asserted, trying his hardest not to lose his temper with Koschei.

He was trying to humour the boy and have a nice Saturday together before he started that horrible school so he refused to tell the boy off. He just kept Sigma on the pavement. It wasn't like he could of said no, Sigma had heard the magic word and there had been no going back on that one.

Koschei sighed softly and ducked his head. Well. That did it. And so what if he wanted to be out more? Maybe he wanted to be able to relax and enjoy himself and have fun outside.

However, he wasn't going to push it. Not after that. Instead, he just walked faster, Sigma speeding up to keep up with him, because now Koschei was just determined to get back inside and call it good.

The Master guided Sigma carefully along the path, trying to keep him under control. Unfortunately for Koschei, the Master had spent a lot of time training Sigma and it only took a few tugs for the pup to calm down and walk at a nice pace.

The Master strolled along the pavement, letting sigma sniff around and enjoy the fresh air. When they got to the park, Sigma was practically straining in his lead to run around on their. And, as much as he had wanted to go home, he knew it wasn't an option. Undoing Sigma's lead, he let the dog run off excitedly along the grass and mud. Ah well. "You wanna go play in the park?"
